Ultimate E Motors
Some energy-efficiency products merely save energy. But Lincoln's Ultimate E motors go way beyond what's expected to deliver outstanding performance as well. So, when it's time to spec a motor with better efficiency, go ahead and spec a better motor...a Lincoln Ultimate E.

More Overload Capability
With an industry-leading 1.25 Service Factor (see chart), our Ultimate E motors provide peace of mind uncertain situations. Peak loads, worst-case scenarios, whatever comes their way, these motors deliver the overload assurance to let you rest easy.
HP*(at 1800 RPM) ODP TEFC
Steel Aluminum/Steel Cast Iron
1 to 75 1.25 1.25 1.25
100 to 200 1.25 1.15 1.15
250 to 350 1.15 1.15 1.15
*Higher HP motors available. Other HP/RPM's also have a 1.25 service factor as standard. See the LC100 catalog for details.

Superior Speed-Torque Curves
Awesome! Its' the only word to describe starting torques from our Ultimate E motors. Not only do they easily meet all NEMA Design B requirements, in most cases they also meet Design C starting torque. What's it all mean to you? Reliability. For massive "get-up and go" capability with off-the-shelf availability, get an Ultimate E motor.

One Motor: Global Use
Lincoln Ultimate E motors are nameplated for operation on the numerous power systems found around the globe, simplifying your motor selection and reducing your inventory requirements.

All 230/460 Volt, 60 Hz models are nameplated for 208 Volt, 60 Hz operation. Service factor can be 1.15, 1.05 or 1.00 depending on the specific design.

Most 230/460 and 460 Volt, 60 Hz motors are nameplated for 50 Hz operation on 380 and/or 415 Volts making them the perfect choice when exporting equipment. Service factor can be 1.15 or 1.00. See the LC100 catalog for details.

Vary the Speed, Keep the Motor; Reap the Benefits
Most people have heard the benefits of using inverter or variable-speed drives. Now they're investigating the application of these devices to their own equipment or manufacturing processes. During the review, the question "Can my existing motor be used with an inverter drive?" is always asked. If it's a Lincoln Ultimate E motor, the answer is an unqualified "YES!".

All Ultimate E motors are inverter-rated for use with any brand drive at any drive-to-motor distance and at any carrier frequency. And to make matters as simple and inexpensive as possible, we don't require the installation of filters or any other power conditioning device.

To prove our confidence in the motor's performance, we back every PWM-powered Ultimate E motor having a 1.15 SF or higher with an industry-leading 2 year warranty (want a 5 year warranty? check out our Ultimate E CTAC motors).

These motors have a constant torque speed range at continuous duty of 30 to 60 Hz and a variable toque speed range at continuous duty of 6 to 60 Hz. Even wider speed ranges are possible at intermittent duty.

E-Coat Primer Stops Corrosion
Every metal part of every motor we make is primed inside and outside with the best corrosion protection known to industry: E-coat. Only Lincoln has made the investment to provide electrodeposition protection to electric motors.

Unquestionably the Best Varnish Maximizes Electrical Life
Lincoln employs solvent-based varnishes for a very good reason: our lab tests showed that our Class H phenolic varnish provides far superior bond strength than the water-based varnishes used by our competitors. You'll enjoy superior winding integrity and longevity. In addition, our varnish helps prevent electrical damage from voltage spikes. It costs us more, but the performance improvement is worth it.

More Warranty Protection
Expect ultimate reliability from your Lincoln Ultimate E motor. For over 14 years, Lincoln has backed its motors with a precedent-setting five year warranty to protect you against defects in workmanship and materials. No other motor manufacturer has expressed as much confidence in the design, manufacturing quality or performance of their motors.

More Efficiency Choices
Lincoln gives your two energy-efficiency options: select an Ultimate E1 motor to meet EPAct requirements; or choose an Ultimate E2 model to maximize your energy savings.
