IEEE 841 Ultimate E® TEFC Cast Iron Motors
The Motor of Choice for Petroleum, Pulp & Paper
and other Chemical Process Applications.
When your conditions are beyond severe, youll need a motor that
goes beyond severe duty: IEEE 841 cast iron motors from Lincoln.
IEEE 841 Standards Are Tough;
Lincolns Standards Are Even Tougher
When we designed our 841 motors we had a decision: make them just
good enough to meet the specification, or make them even better.
We chose the latter. After all, these are motors for some of the
nastiest applications around. The result is a motor with the Ultimate
in performance:
- unsurpassed corrosion-resistance
- exceptional service factors
- superior insulation system for the Ultimate in long service life
Choose from Two Efficiency Levels
Lincoln gives you two energy-efficiency options: select an
Ultimate E1 motor to meet EPAct requirements; or choose an Ultimate E2
model for maximum energy savings. Either
way, youll enjoy performance well beyond 841 specifications.

IEEE 841 motors from Lincoln deliver benefits beyond what's required
841 Spec. Requires:
- All cast iron construction for frame,
brackets, fan cover and terminal box
- Double NEMA terminal box volume
- 80°C maximum temperature rise by
winding resistance
- 90 dBA maximum sound power level
- IP 55 bearing enclosure on frames
324T and larger
- Foot flatness tolerance to .005 inches
- Maximum vibration velocity of 0.08 in/sec for 2-, 4-, and 6-pole motors
- Shaft runout tolerance to .001 inch T.I.R. for shaft diameters to 1.625 inches
(0.0015 inch for larger shafts)
- Test report shipped with each motor
- Non-sparking conductive fan

Beyond the Spec.- Ultimate E® Motors Deliver Even More:
- Labyrinth seal on drive end shaft 182T frame motors and up
- E-coat primer on all surfaces inside and out. There is no better protection from
corrosion than our exclusive electrodeposition process. Surpasses 300 hours in salt
fog test with no degradation. Motor as well as rotor and shaft surfaces inside
enclosure are fully primed. Ultra-rugged urethane finish paint adds final protection
- Solvent-based varnish tenaciously protects windings far better than water-based
varnishes
- Class F Plus insulation combines Class H and F components to provide an extra
5° C protection for longer life (rated at 160°C vs. standard 155°C)
- Laser-etched stainless steel nameplate remains easy to read, provides positive
identification under worst conditions
- Two levels of energy-efficiency available
- 1.25 service factor on 1 to 75HP (1800 RPM) to handle unexpected peak loads with
confidence
- Tremendous torquesyou get the starting torques normally associated with
specialty motors such as Design C,
from our standard off-the-shelf motor
- 5-year warranty
- Made in the U.S.A.
